The hunt for a budget-friendly rustic dining table continues. My family is visiting for Thanksgiving this year and I am so excited for them to arrive! This is the first holiday the cop and I will host together as a married couple in our new house. I absolutely can’t wait and my goal is to have the house in some sort of order by the time our guests arrive. Which means we have approximately 8 weeks to start acquiring furniture.
I’ve been shopping for a rustic farmhouse inspired dining room table for a while now. I want something weathered but not too distressed, since it will be our formal dining room table. I absolutely love the look of a rectangular trestle table. Our floors are a cool grey washed oak, so I’m hoping for a lighter finish that compliments that.
With a small dining room we can’t get a massive table. Initially I was hoping for a trestle table that extended – but I can’t find one anywhere within our budget (or really at all!) in the lighter finish I want. So I’m starting to concentrate simply on the look I want.
Here are a few of the trestle tables we’re considering, all from Joss and Main and under $2,000!
