We stocked up on a few touristy items – t shirts, coozies etc. But when we came across a cute little shop called The Nested Turtle I knew we’d found something unique. The Nested Turtle just recently opened it’s doors on May 1st and they specialize in hand-inked paper goods and home gifts. Lisa the owner makes all of the cards herself on site – she has her drafting table set up in the front room of the cottage. If you are in the area be sure to stop by – but the shop also has an etsy shop!
I couldn’t resist picking up this adorable book that the shop had on display called “One Good Deed a Day”. What a charming idea! Each page has a ‘good deed’ idea on it and room for you to include the day you completed it and a little reflection on the experience. I think we all try our best to be positive people each day but for me I am trying my hardest to take an active role to change the way I interact with people on a daily basis. The book ideas range from taking a long walk outdoors to buying lunch for a homeless person. I am so looking forward to incorporating these ideas each day and making good deeds and positive thinking a priority.
