Gifted Candlesticks

Gifted Candlesticks

So sorry for the temporary hiatus on updating here! My family is in town visiting for the Easter holidays and it has been extremely busy!  It has been so wonderful to have them here and spend some quality time throughout the week. I am a big family person and I will say you honestly can’t understand how much you will miss the support of having family nearby until you don’t have it anymore. That being said, I’m very lucky in that my parents are retired and my grandparents are in good health, and in the last few months alone I’ve had 14 visitors to the Savannah area. Aunts, Uncles, cousins, my adorable niece Mel – whoever is willing to make the trip to Georgia will be welcomed here in Savannah with a bit of Southern hospitality.

My mom recently attended a fundraiser gala for my alma mater, Mount Mercy Academy, and won me a set of amazing hand crafted candle sticks. She included them in my Easter basket and I fell in love the minute I opened them! Three brushed silver candle sticks with a hand carved pattern into each. I couldn’t wait to display them proudly on our mantle.

The next obvious task is the hunt for the perfect taper candles to put in them! With so many options out there I truly can’t decide if I should go minimalist and traditional or buy something funky with a modern twist. I saw these striped candlesticks over at Pawleys Island Posh from Ana Candles and fell in love! Still I don’t want to limit myself to just one option. Here are the candles I’m considering for my newest decor item.
