Fall Soup Recipes

Fall has officially hit Savannah! Sure during the day it will still be in the 80’s here. No the leaves are not changing into brilliant colors of orange and red (they don’t really do that here…). But this morning when I woke up it was a cool 50 degrees out! And that my friends means the worst of the balmy Savannah summer heat has passed. Hallelujah!

On that note, I find myself feeling very fall today. Ready to dive in head first into boots, flannel shirts, fall soups and pumpkin decor. In that spirit I wanted to bring you a round up of my favorite Fall Soup Recipes. Tried and true, I recommend each of these recipes based on their creative ingredients (Umm pumpkin beer cheese soup. Need I say more?) and some of the low fat options to keep it healthy.

Fall Soup Recipes

Guinness French Onion Soup
Closet Cooking brings us French Onion Soup, with Guinness in it. The bagpiper’s daughter in me just died and went to heaven. I really don’t think you can get more indulgent and savvy than this.
The Scrumptious Pumpkin lightens up this classic with hidden veggies and pureed cauliflower. I can’t wait to try this one!
Pumpkin Beer Cheese Soup
Pumpkin. Beer. Cheese. Yum. There is nothing light about this recipe and that is A-OK with me. Thank you Spoon Fork Bacon for bringing this into all of our lives.
Tomato Bisque
Comfort food doesn’t get any better than creamy tomato soup and grilled cheese. Will Cook for Smiles serves this up with smoked gouda grilled cheese dippers. That’s right.
I absolutely love the flavor in a creamy roasted red pepper soup. Skinny Taste lightens this recipe up but keeps the indulgent flavor.
Turkey Chili
Game day classic. I love eating chili on football days. The best is coming home from a chilly October or November game in New York and diving into a big bowl.
Cheesy Chicken Enchilada Soup
I actually haven’t tried this recipe, but I can’t wait to make it work. This sounds like a great combination of all of the flavors we love.

I hope you enjoyed this Fall Soup Recipe round up! Stay tuned tomorrow for my very own Butternut Squash Soup recipe! Lightened up but still full of flavor.
